Police Guidance - Working with Young Victims of Stalking

Through our case work, young people have often spoken about how they have felt dismissed and misunderstood by professionals and at times this has included the police response.
To have a look at the police response we carried out some focus groups and then a small survey with young victims we have worked with at Paladin. In addition to any barriers they came across we also recorded the positive responses some of the young people had experienced as a way to move forward.
From this report we have designed some guidance. This guidance was developed with the young people we have worked with (those we have supported as victims and our youth ambassadors) and in consultation with police officers.
